Environment:	sessile; marine; depth range 0 - 30 m
Distribution:	Indo-West Pacific: Sumatra, east to Maluku, Indonesia, north to the Philippines, south to East Timor.
Diagnosis:	Solitary. Free-living when mature, up to 45 mm across. Indistinct walls under the 3 orders of septo-costae. Teeth: large and lobed. Columella: broad and compact. A paliform crown may be distinguished. skeleton may be observed under the fleshy and transparent tentacles. Color: brown (Ref. 848).
Biology:	Occurs in deep sandy substrates with other free-living corals (Ref. 848).
