Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 41 m
Distribution:  Indo Pacific. Tropical and subtropical.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  It is almost always found rather firmly affixed on heads of Porites, a coral found both in tide pools and in deeper water (Ref. 87884).
