Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 1 - 12 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific and Western Atlantic. Tropical to polar.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Assumed maximum length from Ref. 844. Maximum depth from Ref. 106682. Prefer rocky substrates (Ref. 844); crawls on the sand surface and is often found in rock pools (Ref. 866). Found on submergent vegetation (Ref. 109264).
