Family:  Ranellidae (triton shells)
Max. size:  39 cm TL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 200 m
Distribution:  Atlantic, the Mediterranean and Indo-West Pacific.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Known from low tide to 10 m, in rock (Ref. 337). Dead shells found about low-water mark and washed up on rocks (Ref. 88739). Epibionts include bivalves and gastropods (Ref. 110375).
