Max. size:  8 cm SHL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 30 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific and the Mediterranean Sea: from East Africa to eastern Polynesia; north to Japan and south to New South Wales and Western Australia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in reef areas of lagoons (Ref. 97298). Littoral and sublittoral to a depth of 30 m. Attached to corals, rocks, and pebbles (Ref. 348).
