Max. size:  9 cm SHL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 2 - 7 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: from the Andaman Islands to Melanesia; north to southern Japan and south to New Caledonia.
Diagnosis:  Shell semi-translucent, solid, regular and large. Outline rounded-ovate. Apex ca. anterior 1/3 of SL. External sculpture faint, with subequal low radial riblets. Colouration: Outside of shell greenish to yellowish brown; aperture with continuous brown margin; inside color bluish silver (Ref. 128042).
Biology:  Used as food by coastal populations throughout its range (Ref. 349). Found on rocky intertidal shores (Ref. 128042), on volcanic rocks (Ref. 349) such as granite (Ref. 799). Occurs at the low tide mark (Ref. 349).
