Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Feeds mainly on detritus and phytoplankton; non-selective suspension feeder (Ref. 1435). Members of the class Cephalochordata are gonochoric. Life cycle: Eggs develop into planktotrophic larva and later on to benthic adults (Ref. 833).
