Family:  Pholadidae (angel wings, piddocks)
Max. size:  7 cm SHL (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 20 m
Distribution:  Western Pacific: from China to western Polynesia; north to northern Japan and south to Indonesia (southern limit of distribution still uncertain).
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Low intertidal, boring in soft sedimentary rocks (Ref. 75840).
