Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 0 - 25 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: from East Africa including Madagascar, the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf to Melanesia; north to Japan and south to New Caledonia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Maximum depth from Ref. 348. Attached to rocks in coral reef areas, or under stones on muddy bottoms. Littoral and sublittoral (Ref. 348).
