Distribution:  Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean, Mediterranean, Black Sea and Eastern Indian Ocean.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Minimum depth from Ref. 7437. Estuarine, epibiotic, found on bay and nearshore (Ref. 111011). It is infaunal and epifaunal on eelgrass beds (Ref. 95819). A sessile suspension feeder (Ref. 95752). Known as a fouling species (Ref. 81749).
