Distribution:  Western Pacific. Tropical to subtropical.
Diagnosis:  Colony: submassive, usually lobed. Corallites: irregularly spined. Polyps: elongate when extended, often retracted during the day. Color: grey or pinkish brown when polyps are retracted; brown when polyps are extended (Ref. 848).
Biology:  Found on exposed reef slopes (Ref. 848).
