Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: Madagascar to Indonesia and Australia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Found in coral, sand and shells bottom from subtidal to a depth of 130 m (Ref. 69553). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
