Family:  Alpheidae (snapping shrimps)
Max. size:  1.51 cm CL (male/unsexed); 1.5 cm CL (female)
Environment:  reef-associated; marine; depth range 0 - 37 m
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: from Central Gulf of California through Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia and Galapagos.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Combination depth range: min from estimate, max from literature. Mid-intertidal to 37 m (Ref. 80375). Members of the order Decapoda are mostly gonochoric. Mating behavior: Precopulatory courtship ritual is common (through olfactory and tactile cues); usually indirect sperm transfer (Ref. 833).
