Environment:  sessile; marine; depth range 10 - 80 m
Distribution:  Northeast Atlantic, Mediterranean Sea and the Arctic: from Ireland south to France and Mediterranean, then northeast to East Siberian Sea. Polar to subtropical.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Occurs in shallow waters, <50 m depth, in fine sand substrate (Ref. 96391). Sessile (Ref. 3123). Main food based on another species of the same genus; to be replaced with a better reference (Ref. 87872).
