Family:  Pilumnidae (hairy crabs)
Max. size:  1.86 cm CW (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range - 200 m
Distribution:  Indo-Pacific: South Africa; Japan, south to Australia and New Caledonia; Tahiti.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Intertidal to subtidal (Ref. 106854). Found in crevices of rock or coral reefs. Also reported to be excavating burrows in coral clumps (Ref. 125642).
