Environment:  pelagic; marine
Distribution:  Western Central Pacific: Philippines.
Diagnosis:  11.5 cm wide, 3.5 cm high, exumbrella smooth; in each octant four cleft and two simple velar lappets (two median and two lateral lappets are cleft); mouth-arms shorter than radius of bell, lower three-winged portion 5 to 7 times as long as upper cylindrical portion; uniform dark brownish-purple.
Biology:  Commensals: host to a carangid fish, a crab, and a copepod (Ref. 116535).
