Family:  Sergestidae (sergestid shrimps)
Max. size:  2.5 cm BL (male/unsexed); 4 cm BL (female)
Environment:  pelagic; brackish; marine; depth range 1 - 50 m
Distribution:  Indo-West Pacific: from western India to Sri Lanka, Bangladesh to Vietnam, and southeast to Indonesia.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Minimum depth from Ref. 128982. Inhabits shallow, sometimes brackish coastal waters. Usually swims midwater or near the surface (Ref. 409). Found in a mangrove vegetate area (Ref. 121475).
