Remarks Found in sandy shores. An opportunistic scavenger, consuming carrion composed of discarded trash fish and other dead animal parts (Ref. 125407). Prefer habitats with high salinities but can also survive in diluted waters. Density is higher on areas affected by organic pollution (Ref. 127128).
