Remarks Attached to coralline substrate at upper subtidal zones exposed to moderate to strong water movement. Generally limited to rocky, waved-exposed habitats, such as reef crests and slopes. Detached thalli may also be found among drifting seaweeds. Dredged from depths of 33 to 73 m, attached to shells or coral fragments (Ref. 80758).
