Remarks | Sampling was done in September 2010, June, July, and September 2011, via 10 m radial survey sampling at a depth range of 0-30 m. The survey was conducted in the open fishing areas in the northeast coast of St. Croix Island. The highest mean density of juvenile Lobatus gigas in the open fishing areas was in seagrass beds and at depths of 7-12 m, and lowest in patch reef/coral rock habitats. They are absent at colonized pavement with channels and atdepths of 25-30 m (Ref. 121909). |
