| Remarks | Initial observations of elevated starfish densities was in October 1994 and followed by eventual collapse of populations in January 1999 but survey was from December 1996 to February 1998. COTs when easily accessible were measured in situ but more often, COTs were carefully removed from crevices and branching corals with large metal tongs. | ||
