Family:  Octopodidae (octopuses), subfamily: Octopodinae
Max. size:  6 cm ML (male/unsexed)
Environment:  benthic; marine; depth range 50 - 200 m
Distribution:  Eastern Pacific: Colombia, Costa Rica and Panama; Gulf of Panama.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Common mantle length: 4.0 to 4.5 cm. Common mantle ranges between 4 and 4.5 cm. Females grow larger than males (Ref. 3722). This is a benthic species found on rocky and sandy bottoms at depths of 50 to 200 m (Ref. 83938).
