Distribution:  Western Atlantic.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  This species is found in offshore, and intertidal cienaga facies, coral reefs, and mangrove areas, particularly on algae, coral, mud, rock, rubble, sand, and shell habitats (Ref. 83934). Also on seagrass and offshore banks (Ref. 109264).
